　　The drum-shaped tooth coupling is a new type of tooth coupling developed based on the straight tooth gear coupling, absorbing and digesting advanced foreign technologies. It consists of a mating pair of an outer toothed sleeve with a drum-shaped tooth thickness and a matching inner toothed ring to connect two shafts, suitable for heavy-duty transmission and axial displacement compensation of two shafts. In general, it is impossible to require the two connected shafts to be perfectly concentric, and to maintain the concentric state during operation, because there are installation errors, bearing wear, stress deformation, foundation settlement, etc., which cause radial and angular displacement of the axis. The drum-shaped tooth coupling has the characteristic of compensating for the above displacement, reducing the additional load caused by the axial displacement, improving the smooth operation and reliability of the transmission device, and thus extending the service life of the transmission device. In recent years, drum-shaped tooth couplings have been widely used in many industries in China, from high-speed turbine units to medium and low-speed heavy metallurgical, mining, lifting and transportation equipment, and have formed their own standard series. Rich experience has also been accumulated in design and manufacturing.
